HCA 6.5mm Carbon Barrel

Our barrels start with the finish 416R German steel available.  Double heat stress relieved, cryogenically stress relieved for 36 hours, gun drilled, profiled, reamed and honed prior to rifling.  Each barrel is individually slugged, hand lapped, and measured.  Not only are they guaranteed within Saami specifications, they’re guaranteed to have land/groove measurements +/- .0001″ from bore to finished crown.

Our Heavy Hunter contour is a great balance of strength and rigidity using our own parallel fiber technology, low resin content, and high modular carbon fiber. This contour closely resembles a true remington sendero contour, comes standard with a 1.200″ tennon OD x 3″ long, and muzzle diameter of .860″. Finished weights for a 26″ blank after chambering is between 2 lbs 12 oz and 3 lbs 4 oz depending on barrel length and tennon length.  We also have the ability to run 3 different tennon OD sizes. 1.240″ is appropriate for actions running a 1 1/8x16TPI tennon threads (BAT actions For Example). 1.170″ is appropriate for Tikka and others.  1.200″ is recommended for Remington and Remington clone actions.
